How long should I wait?

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I have a few questions.
I have a GCC Cha-Chi he is 7 months old, I have had him for about 2 months. I was wondering how long I should wait till I get another conure. I was looking into a Jenday. And can they live toghther in the same cage after they get use to eachother? Also Im not sure of the sex of me gc, does that make a difference if able to put them in the same cage?

You can get another bird whenever you are ready. As for caging different species together, its usually not a good idea. If you do decided to cage them together, you'll need a cage twice the size anyway and you must introduce them at the same time. Otherwise, they will defend their turf.
