Talking?

Doyle is about 5 months old and has begun to repeat noises, like kissing sounds. It also sounds like he is trying to say his name. He doesn't really pronounce the "D" sound, it sounds more like "Oyle". We weren't really expecting him to talk this early or really at all. I had read that conures weren't big talkers. Do your conures talk (or shall I say repeat) often and at what age did it start?

Quito says her name, but it comes out like a squeaky "Kee Ho". She's trying some other sounds out as well, but nothing I can make out yet. She started about the same age too.

Valo started babbling at about that age... now he won't stop. He sits there and babbles constantly, but he doesn't really bother to pronounce the words clearly. It sound more like repitition of words he hears. Guess that's good.... sometimes though I wished I knew what he was saying

It is a more of a low tone type of talking. Not good on clarity. Yazhi sounds like he tries "up up". He was a little over 2 months old or around there when he started saying it. He does a nice chuckling laugh however. I think he is trying other words too now, but haven't figured out what.

Noel, my cherry head doesn't talk. She's practically the quietest bird beyond her squawks in the morning.

Charlie, the mitred, talks. He says "Charlie-saurus", "Sorry", "Hello", "Watch out", and I'm not entirely sure what else! He does babble a lot, most of which I can't make out. He also makes a kissy noise. He started talking when he was around 10 or 11 years old, I think? Although I am not entirely sure.

Kirby, a tiel, talks, and says "Hello", "Kirby", "Pretty Bird", and "Kirby Pretty Bird", knows a few whistles, and copies the 'tch tch tch' noises... He's about 5 years old now although I'm not sure when he started.

That's the only thing that's repeatable with Valo - when I come home, and I can sit on my shoulder he makes kissy noises.... must have picked that up because I always give him kisses on the belly first thing he comes to sit on the shoulder.

Baby makes all sorts of noises. He says "I'm a good boy" when he poops...anywhere...lol I started saying that to him when he would poop in the sink, and now he says it all the time. He also chuckles at me, and says "thank you" when I give him anything to eat or take him out of his cage. Like the rest he babbles alot of nonsense I can't understand. He says certain things with the same cadence...does that make sense? But I haven't figured out what yet, but he is definetly repeating something I say. He started at around 3 months, he's 6 months now.

I am kinda sad Tuc isn't trying to talk but I knew it was a long shot when I got him, I just fell in love with him and couldn't help myself! He is really very quiet unless he feels neglected.
