Mama's Bird

Does your bird prefer one person over the other? Lately Doyle has become extremely attached to me. When Evan gets up early and takes care of him he is calm and just sits on his perch. But when he hears my voice in the morning he starts screeching and flying off his perch trying to get to me. He likes Evan but if we are sitting together on the couch he will climb off him and come sit on me. Makes me feel good, lol! Tiffany

Yep, Jerry prefers me and Lulu prefers Dave - works well for everyone I can handle Lulu just fine and Dave can usually handle Jerry without problems, but Jerry does tend to bite Dave every now and then.

Buddy prefers me and Terrie adores my husband, she's a fickle female though; if he's not giving her enough attention (or if I'm holding foot) she'll come to me

Charlie is in love with me... getting so much so that he doesn't want to sit on anybody else BUT me. And if he can, he'll fly to me. He's not satisfied unless he's with me, and eating my food.

Casey has a preference for me but I think that has more or less to do with me handling her more than anyone else, and she normally just comes to me for scritches.

Noel allows me and a friend to handle her. Everyone else is just too afraid to hold her and she knows it. However, Noel trusts me more than my friend, and as far as preferences go, can't say she has any.... Or rather she seems like she could care less about much human interaction...

He sure is a handful! But of course that's what I love about him! This morning, I guess he was pissed off at me for getting up late. Went into the bird room, was taking care of the birds, making sure they have food, and I opened his cage. He got out, stood on his door for a bit, then flew to my shoulder. He sat there for a few moments, then said "Watch out!", and shortly there-in "beaked" my face (kind of like a beak punch!). Yeah, he wasn't happy! Neither was I, cause he got stuck back in his cage!

At least he's easy to forgive, just as long as he gets lovin's and time with me! What a stinker!
