Re: Just put a deposit down on a baby sun
Even though the suns can be quite loud, its worth it. I have two,... They were bought from two different breeders, around the same time, and always housed together since I brought them home. They are about 2 1/2 years old now, and very bonded to each other,.. but managed to retain pet quality. They were on two feedings a day when I purchased them. I have no idea what sex they are, as I never had them tested, and it doesn't matter to me. There may well be a day when they suprise me with some eggs, but it has not happened yet. They are just reaching sexual maturity. They have gotten along very well from day one. I have never had any problems bringing a new bird into the house, and after quarrintine, always house them in the same room, with the exception of my breeding pairs, which are in the basement. There may be problems in the future if they happen to be the same sex, but for now, they are best friends!
