MARROON BELLIED CONURES

MARROON BELLIED CONURE
====================

Description

Length: 26 cm (about 10 inches). Green on top and back. Sometimes clearly visible red feathers on forehead. The area around the eye brownish-yellow. Some blue on the wings, which are otherwise green. Tail reddish-brown; abdomen.

Diet

Providing pellets as the base diet assures that your bird is getting a balanced diet with all the vitamins and nutrients that it needs. For birds that have difficulty converting to pellets, it may be possible to grind up it's regular diet of seeds, nuts, etc into a chunky batter that can be rolled into balls to encourage better nutritious intake and get your bird used to finding it's meals in a pellet like form.
Beneficial foods include dark green, leafy vegetables like kale, broccoli, dandelions, and chard, as well as carrots, sweet potatoes, and squash. Healthy table foods like cooked eggs, corn, beans, pasta, and rice can also be offered.

Size

10 inches

Social Behavior

Prefers to be kept in pairs or colonies.

Personality

These birds have a very sweet personality and are fast becoming a favorite . They are the perfect pet for people living in apartments, they are small, not very messy, they will learn to talk a little and are very lovable. They make very good pets for smaller children, they are small and cuddly and should they ever nip or bite, cannot do much damage except a hard pinch. Children tend to be less frightened of a small conure like that, than a bigger bird with a bigger beak.
These little guys are intelligent, friendly and active. They will make sure you get up in the morning and they will make you feel loved when you get home. They are funny little clowns who like to amuse themselves and their humans with acrobatic antics and playing with their toys.
They are very bold. Also very sassy and independent yet sweet and affectionate. They love to take a bath.

Approx 20 x 20 x 26 inches-------SMALL CATEGORY
