She's already in her tent, grinding peacefully when I turn the last one out. Actually, she doesn't even jump to the bottom of the cage and scream until I actually walk out of the room. I can sit on the couch with the lights off - and she doesn't move. So it seems it's more the act of me leaving the room that starts her off. (I tried that last night)
Like a human! LOL....That's what's a bummer about having to dim instead of them just going to sleep at dusk when it gets dark. Well, I'm sure the dimming will help alot.

Is she sleeping in the living room? It's more of a shallow sleep then. I have one Budgie who's a light sleeper and if I dont follow the same routine every night and stay out of their room, he flutters and ends up clinging to the bars. Even if I lower the mini blind out of order he gets discombobulated LOL.

Yes, she's in the living room. She's funny though - she only does the jump to the cage bottom, start screaming - the 1st time I walk out of the room. If for some reason I go back in after that - she doesn't make a peep and stays in her tent.

You can find them in any bird store or most pet stores. Yes, they are safe, but if they get straggly with strings hanging off them the birds could get stuck in, you should replace them. Check out my thread, What could possibly be cuter than a conure in a happy hut for some cute pics!

My sun conure LOVES his Happy Hut and will go right in at night, he will also scream if we are late getting him to bed. Our GCC however never wants to go back to his cage. I put them in the bird room and lower the lights while I am getting everyone ready and doing any final cleanups, then I turn out the lights. My gcc always cries a little. He is so quiet during the day that it caught me of guard at first but he settles into his Happy Hut after a few minutes.

My Jade, only screeches when she wants to come to me, i have her five months and she knows when it's bed time cause she likes been in the dark in the hall and knows that we are in the room near her and it's dark, she only starts to call in the morning when it's loving time for a little while then she plays on her cage, till she decides she wants me again, but if she screeches to much i just won't take her and just talk to her while i'm doing other things around the house, but i know that you need to be a bit firm with them caouse are a loving bird and she knows that i love her too. i did however get a tiel and they spend a lot of time together, but if the teil chirps too much, jade will give out to him as if to say will you ever stop lol
