Question Food ???

I just bought a 7lb tub of Food for my Sun Conure...It was on sale at a Great Price so, I decided to buy. I was wondering how long the freshness of the food will last and is safe/healthy to feed?
Also, around how long does 7lbs of food last with a Sun/Conure?
(Zupreem Fruit Blend Conure/Sm Parrot is the food)

Is there a "use by" date on the food?

Just keep the package closed/sealed when not in use.

I think you can freeze it, also.

a three pound bag lasts my Sennie and Ekkie almost three weeks. They eat a lot of fresh too but I would imagine a 7 pound bag would last ya awhile.

I have 3 3lb bags of Zupreem Parrot Fruit Blend (for conures and up)... One bag has lasted him over a month now, maybe a month and a half.... still not out yet! Since Charlie's larger, one 3lb bag ought to last you a good two plus months!

Be sure though that this is what your sun eats, if not then you need to get the food that he eats and switch him over if you can...

Assuming that they are made exactly the same, besides size, then I don't think you'd need to switch... One of my tiels occasionally nibbles on the conure/parrot sized ones, so I was thinking about getting her the cockatiel sized ones when I can, since if it's something she's willing to eat, I'd more than gladly feed it to her since she's underweight and needs eat whatever she can!

Any new pics of Shadow?

ok cool yea shadow seems to have NO problem with the cockatiel ones.. infact, he loves them and hes a little piggie. (although he weighs 70 grams, which i believe is average, so hes not fat)

no new pics of shadow yet.. although i do plan to take some this weekend!

hes not finished molting yet.. i feel like hes been molting forverrr. but i thikn hes almost done.. hes lost the majority of his stress bars but still has a little ways to go. his new feathers have been growing in beautifully

Yep, the only diffence in the Zupreem Fruit Blend Diet is size of the Pellet. So If shadow likes the Cockatiel Sized Pellets or the Conure sized ones then there isnt any problem!
Im looking forward to new pics of Shadow...I love your Sig Pic! So CUTE!
