Should I bring him Home Now?

My Breeder just told me that she can hold my Sun Baby another week because he is still on 1 Comfort Feeding....But, I can take him now if Id like.
He is on Just 1 Tsp a day. Im thinking I should go ahead and let her completely wean him instead of doing that Comfort Feeding myself?? Even though it isnt a big deal it might be easier for me in the long run. If I dont bring him home this friday then it will be next friday the 22nd.
Does make me sad but, It might be for the best??????
What would you guys do??
It is one Comfort Feeding a day...1tsp...?????

Are you an experianced handfeeder? If not, I would leave him at the breeders.

From a business standpoint, you are paying for a weaned/finished product.

From a health standpoint, it is better to buy a weaned bird as it will be more likely to be under less stress.

From an emotional standpoint, the bird is better off bonding to you after it weans.

But, I know what your saying is all true!! Im not an Experienced Handfeeder and not quite sure what Id do if the baby reverted back to Unweaned!
So, I guess I will wait another week!

It is so much funner (not even a word!) to have a healthy baby! When they revert and you end up going to the vet and being scared. That is no fun at all.

Congrats on your baby, I hope you get to take him home soon. I am dissapointed that the breeder is willing to send him home unweaned.

I breed birds, and have a store where I sell animals. I don't believe in selling unweaned birds to an inexperianced handfeeder.
