No more splish splash?

All of a sudden Swaps doesn't want to take baths anymore. He just tries to scramble out of the tub. He also is a lot more active, and much more nippy...almost to the point of aggression. I think his molt is almost over (not so many pin feathers left) so anyone have any ideas? Is the honeymoon period over? =(

A bad picture of a new trick.

then he could be also just testing you. when he bites look at him head on with a stern look (feel like you are a little upset, these guys pick up on your emotions very easily) and say "no" - short, and assertive..should not be a yell. or say "be gentle" i usually use "no" or "be a good bird" because all my birds know what "good bird" means...and if i say those two words in an "upset" way, then they know mommy is not happy and they were being bad. LOL

Doyle loves to take baths and takes one everyday just about. But every now and then he just doesn't want one for whatever reason. He throws a fit sometimes. Usually when he gets like this I place his on top of his cage (play top) until he calms down. When he sees that his fits get no attention from mommy he usually stops it pretty quick. Good luck with Swaps, as always he is such a cutie!

He seemed better today, played in the water and totally soaked himself (and me) in the process. I think i be trying to hard to be touchy with him, i got nipped pretty good this morning! I know patience is key but its hard when you want your bird to love you =/

he seems to like doing tricks a lot..he picks up on them very quickly. He can do "Flip" on voice command...when i say it and tilt my finger back he swings with one foot and looks around upside down for a treat, lol. Maybe he won't be as cuddly as i had hoped, but thats ok too, I still love him!
