New Cage
Got a new cage for Noel... an HQ Flight Cage (primarily made for sugar gliders but works well for birds too!). I was going to buy a different cage but then was offered this one for $100, brand new. The people who bought it had it for 3-6 months in a box and never used it!
When I first got it home set it up, I was going to clean it... but it got too cold to clean outside (it snowed... biggest snow fall this winter...) and I didn't feel like taking it apart only to have to put it back together just to clean it... so it's been waiting to be cleaned... until a couple days ago! Finally got it cleaned up and put in the birds room for Noel and Casey to get used to it. I don't know if Casey will actually be living in the cage or not, with Noel, but we'll see how that goes! I decided though to put a couple perches inside of it to give a size comparison to those interested in looking for other cages for their small birds.... What I've noticed so far about the cage, is that the bars are on the inside of the cage instead of ligned up with the supports... not that it makes a difference. At first I thought the cage was a bit wobbly, but it turns out that it wasn't sitting correctly on the stand (with wheels). Otherwise though, while moving it stands pretty steady and as long as it's on the stand properly, should not come off by itself. The only real downside that I noticed was the fact that the tray is made out of a flimsy plastic... other than that and door latches that don't exactly fit (but work well) it's rather a nice cage, something that I WOULD recommend to people who own small to medium sized birds! And I don't think you can beat the price!!! (well they normally sell for about $150 or so). So for now, heres some pics of the cage for size comparison! And I'll get more once I set the cage up for Noel (and Casey?) after she's gotten more used to it.... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Wow...that is a gorgeous cage. And really cheap for how big it is! Did they offer you that price because of a sale or is it always $100? I'd love to pick one up. It might be worth the drive/shipping costs. What a deal!

They normally sell for $150 and up.... I got it for $100 because someone else bought the cage, then never used it! There's a couple different styles too....
Would like to say a couple things... There's an ebay seller who sells knock-off brands.... or rather cages that may not be of good quality.... and have been told not to get them... http://cgi.ebay.com/Flight-Bird-Cage...QQcmdZViewItem Here is another style though, with one door instead of two... http://www.birdcages.com/medium-bird...iew&key=AEC022 There's also the double flight cages that normally sell for $250 and up http://www.birdcages.com/medium-bird...iew&key=AEC023

we have the same cage, but in green. ours came with a metal tray which is quite sturdy and removes easily. bought mine for $100 off craigslist, it had only been used for a couple weeks before previous owner realized the bars weren't strong enough for their cockatoo. we love the cage and it offers tons of room for our conure. the only downside for me is the lack of play top which means the birds poop off the side when out of cage. i've been trying to find some sort of playtop that i can add to it.

That cage looks nice in black. I've got two in white. They're open in the bird room for whoever wants to use them.

Rayna, this one is practically brand new, and HAS a grate... however, because Noel has a tendency to occasionally fall, I'd rather her fall on the tray than the grate... although I'm sure a metal TRAY would probably be better overall..... do you have a picture of yours? I found this one through Craigslists as well...
Indeed though it is nice in black... and I'm pleased with it thus far!

Wow, that is a really nice cage.
I just bought a new cage for Sydney off usedcalgary.com. It's one of those brown, power coated cages you see everywhere in stores. It's really nice, and I got it for $100, hardly used.
