Getting my first GCC soon!

Hi all!
I'm Hannah, I am about to get a GCC baby here in Portland, Oregon.

I'm totally ready, just waiting for her to be ready too! The store selling her is very conscientous(sp?) about keeping her a week beyond the time she stops hand feeding just to make sure she doesnt regress, they say it will be about a month.
Her hatch date was either Feb 10, 16 or 18th, there are three of them in the store and the breeder didnt specify to them which band number went with which hatch date.
I am wondering about a name! Any ideas? She/he is such an elegant looking little thing, I cant imagine Bingo, or Bongo or Jingles or Jazzy, seems like he'she will need something more magikal, such a magikal looking creature, the GCC.
Anyway, would love to hear from other GCC owners!

i can't help you with the name - it took us forever to decide on valo, and that pretty much emptied the pot of ideas

however, congratulations - life with a GCC is a ton of fun... until your baby comes home, i'd recommend buying a book about conures to catch up on diet, training etc... it's worth the time, and can save you some headache later

Thanks for the idea about the book, i have three in transit to my library.
I am used to a Lovebird and a parakeet but this is my first Conure!

My son named our first gcc Kiwi, rather boring. I named our other one Carmela. You will fall in love with your little one!!!!!

Congratulations on your new baby! Squeeker my GCC is such and active, fun and loving conure. We named him squeeker, because while he was still with the breeder he would make a squeek when he saw me and his whole body would move when he made the noise. It was so cute.

What about a name like.... pegasus or Merlin?

i have 1 sun conure and 1 cockatiel. i have a bunch of weird names for my pets.

my 2 dogs are spaz, and wrangler
my conure is kona
my cockatiel is hollywood
my cat is kitty
and if i end up getting my next conure his name will be maui
