Happy Mother's Day!!!! Two Boys
As I posted in the tiel section, and avian vet comes to our local pet store to surgically sex birds for only $20 every Mother's Day. Well Joe and I went and took advantage of this today. By the way, it's very hard to watch your babies being sexed. (I'm a whimp)
BooBoo and Yogi, who we thought were boy and girl, are now TWO BOYS. We also had our tiels Baby and Bert sexed. We thought Baby was a girl, and Bert was a boy. Well we are proud parents of two girls, lol. Bert is now Bertie, hehe Oh my....HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Congrats! LOL At least you know now & can call them the right names. I got lucky with mine. The breeder told me what she thought they were & when I had them DNA tested, the breeder was right. So I didn't have to change anyones name. Well, Nalah hasn't been sexed yet. Not sure if she's a girl or not. She is bigger then my male though, so who knows. LOL Crystal

It's funny you said that Crystal. Right before my tiels went under the knife, this breeder next to me said, I can save you money to sex them, they are both females, lol. Well, she was right! Should have paid her! Lol
By the way, what does the name Nalah mean? Does it have a meaning?

the guy that gave me lemmon and lime, said lime was the boy and lemmon was the girl. well he was wrong both times, cause lime is a mother of 2, so lemmon must be a boy cause the eggs were fertile, before the eggs hatched, i thought i might have 2 girls, but now i know i have a breeding pair, just oposite of what i thought i had. thank goodness the names were unisex.

I love your conures but I have a soft spot for Baby and Bertie. The girls are just so precious. I am sure they'd give Percy a run for her money if they were to meet Roosevelt!

Beautiful birdies, great pictures. My favorites are always conures. Can't talk enough about them.
 I am driving everbody crazy with that!We also had a cockatiel who we thought was male. Well, we found out he was a she when she started laying eggs. Unfortunately she flew away last month
