I couldn't be happier.

I picked out my bird yesterday and get him in a month. He is so very well adjusted and sociable! He had a rough day (plane flight, new house, 3 new people, 2 dogs, 3 cats, many screaming suns) yesterday and was still calm and comfortable. He even held eye contact with me.

The breeder made a mistake and sold the regular green cheeks that was intended for the the woman I'm purchasing from. Because of this, I got a yellow-sided for the same price.

Everything has worked out wonderfully.

That's my younger brother holding him.

He's 2 1/2 months old, and I have to come up with a name soon.

gorgeous little guy.... gotta love those GCCs, and yellow-sided are particularly pretty - congrats

on the second photo - is that a deformation of the beak? or just the light in the photo?

he is beautiful. Congrats!!!!!
We have a yellowsided who is three times as gentle as our greencheek. I was told they are just gentler birds by nature.

Congrats! I love the yellow sided GCC's! Well, okay - I love all of the different mutations. I keep joking that some day I'm going to have 1 of every color. Zoey's breeder has a Turquoise baby right now - it's stunning! But we're at our limit (besides the fact it would be way out of our price range even if we were looking!) What kind of names are you thinking of?

He is gorgeous but I'm also concerned about the way his beak looks...?
Congratulations and keep us posted!

Oh please, don't worry me. Yes, I noticed the little deformation as well. I won't be getting it until it is fully weaned, so I would think I'll know if the deformation will be handicapping.

There is another I could choose from, but we didn't have a connection.

NikiAndBeyond does he have this same deformation on the other side of his beak. I hand reared my male green cheek conure from 4 weeks old and he had the same thing on his beak on both sides. If it is on both sides it is normal and will go away as he gets older.
