Wow, what a great dog! Give them extra treats! That is so scary too, I am glad you listened to your dog. My dogs once saved my leopard gecko from the cat, it was a similar situation they were so freaking out!

Thank you everyone. At the end ofthe day, Tiki is doing just fine. He is just like his normal self...thank god.
My dog Sadie is still checking on him...just making sure. She is still wiped from the experience. I am glad to know that the "whole" family loves Tiki. |

What a good dog! I had a scary incident similar to yours. My bird tore the ringer part of a bell off and it was wedged between her beak. It took a pair of pliers to get it out. I was so worried she would swallow it. Just goes to prove you need to check toys often. When I went to check the other bells, I noticed she had torn off a few more ringers. Thankfully they were at the bottom of the cage!
On a fun note-my bird (pineapple green cheek) is named Tiki and our dog (black lab/chow) is named Sadie! We also have a cat named Tigger. Alison
