shadow on his back

shadow has never been one of those birds who will willingly or freely roll over and lay on his back. me and my boyfriend have been working with him on this since we got him over a year ago and we are finally making progress!! we got to the point where hed willingly (of course we would NEVER force him if he didnt want to) lay on his back in our hand, but hold on VERY tightly with his feet.
well, today for the first time.... my boyfriend (whom i thikn shadow likes more than me) had him in his hand on his back, and he let go of one foot! even more progress!! of course i ran over to take a pic..

Awww! Shadow is so sweet looking, as usual! Congrats on the progress! Sunny won't lie on his back unless he's clinging for dear life with his feet as you'd mentioned Shadow had done. I guess it takes a while.

Oh that foot holding on to the thumb is so adorable! Shadow is such a cutie. My Sennie only lays on her back in her cage on perches and in food bowls and on the floor of the cage. She thinks I'm crazy when I suggest she do that on my hand.
