This book has been particularly informative for me: The Guide to Owning a Conure by David Boruchowitz

Also, despite the criticisms on Amazon.com, I like
Conures Complete Owner's Manual by Matthew M. Vriends Ph.D.

Finally, The Healthy Bird Cookbook: A Lifesaving Nutritional Guide and Recipe Collection by Robin Deutsch is tremendous. Not only does it contain a wealth of recipes for all birds but also specific species' individual nutritional needs.

Finally, don't forget that Amazon and other online bookstores have a nice selection of books on birds with the ratings and opinions of other readers so you can get a good idea of the material before you decide which one you're going to purchase.

Hope this helps.

I have Barron's Conure Handbook and A Guide to Popular Conures by ABK publications. You could also try some generic bird care books like the Mattie Sue Athan ones and Barbara Heidenrich's books on training birds.

When my husband and I bought our lil conure we also purchased the "Animal Planet Pet Care Library: Conures" by Carol Frischmann. Its a good start out book if you don't know anything much about conures or birds in general, but doesn't go too far in depth. I plan to research matters deeper now that its made me more comfortable with the basics. A simple Conure 101.
