Ok, I wanted to update this thread. It's now February of '08 (7 months after I asked the original question) and it still hasn't worn off -- if anything, it's gotten worse. I'm more in love with my birdie than ever before - and I still lose a lot of work productivity to stuff related to the little guy. Sigh.
And yes, it did get worse once he actually started liking me back. LOL.

Well I haven't even decided when I might get a bird or what type and I'm already glued to the computer screen 24/7. I know I should be doing something more productive but it's way more exciting reading about and looking at birds. The only thing that keeps my addiction at bay when I'm at work is that I don't have internet access. Which I guess in the company's point of view that not a bad idea.
Good luck with it and enjoy your conure. He's gorgeous! |

I've been doing the same thing, going on the internet to research birds at work and I haven't even gotten my gcc. I will be getting him soon. Just have been going to the breeder to visit. It's after lunch and I'm still on the internet.

Get used to it never going. If anything you'll just want more birds to carry it on FOREVER.
