Well I did it again, I have a new Green Cheek Conure

Well I couldn't stop myself, I saw an ad on Craigelist for baby Green Cheek Conures, they are 8 weeks old and freshly weaned and ready to go to their new homes. Well I know craigelist is not for selling but for rehomeing but I couldn't help myself so I answered her ad and went to see the two babies she had and just fell in love with the baby Pineapple she had and brought her home. Now she thinks that she is a girl but not 100% sure and she had named her Bella. I kinda like the name she had already picked out so I kept it. So now I have two Green Cheek Conures my Blue Mutation and my Pineapple Mutation. She is now in another room starting her quarentine so in 30 days if all goes well she will be introduced to my other birds. Man I need to stay away from the computer as I will have a million birds if I don't (LOL)

Congrats on your new flock member! I have to keep myself off of the classifieds too.
That's the same way I got my Blue Crown Conure. An ad for babies ready to go, and just in the next town......birditis knows now limits.

I have a confession also...i kinda have a new green cheek conure...my dad said i have to give it away but im sure i can work around it. She isnt tame so i will have to tame her and after i do i am hoping my dad would have bonded a bit and not want her to go. I got her from a bird fair (she came with a DNA cert so she is a she) and she is about 6 months old. Parent reared so not much human contact. She would go to the opposite side of the cage if i put my finger in but today she was about 2cm away from my finger and didnt move!
