Ok so for all those who werent following, I bought Beetle at a bird fair last weekend and she wasnt handraised or handled much at all....so I was told. I got her cos I thought I would have a chance at taming her and was expecting a demonic biting aviary bird to work with. She is so calm, she loves scratches and has yet to bite anyone. The vet adores her too. She is just the sweetest little thing. I am so glad I picked her from all the green cheeks there. She is about 6 and a half months old and is soo cute. The vet results came back and she doesnt have clamydia or any serious problems..her cells are upside down though like My alexandrine Matches but they look healthy so nothing to be concerned about. She has been wormed but the vet thinks there is something in her cells that are either stress related or disease related (which she is thinking stress cos of the environment change) but will take another blood sample in a month...all in all she is a great bird. Ok finally the pics.

well she is certainly a very pretty girl...congrats!!!
she is about the same age as my Buddy, i must post some photos one of these days, he is quite handsome even if i do say so...real character.
hey, you never got back to me about the parrot pre-school...i left a message that i would love some info, i live in Brisbane
anyway, would love to hear a bit about it...
how is Matches coping with the newcomer???

HAHAHA she doesnt like her LOL!! Beetle doesnt care but Matches gets so angry when she see's me giving her attention.

Ok there are 2 parrot pre-schools...I might take my green cheek to the other one cos I have one tomorrow and they have checked up to make sure she doesnt have clamydia and stuff. The one I am going to now is a 2 sundays thing. It's good for new bird owners, i kninda knew most what he was talking about but he is very interesting. He studied in the states as well as here. What was really cool was he bought his 2 macaws in. Rio the Blue and gold and Cuba the green wing. They are so cute!! Tomorrow we take the birds in. There are about 5 cockatiels, a quaker and my alex going. Matches is going to be the biggest LOL! And she isnt too fond of other birds...although i bet that quaker could sort her out lol.
The other one i will probably go to anyway and take the green cheek. I'll PM you the number to the one i am going to now.

Yeah I am going to the brisbane bird vet one today with gary coleman, his macaws are gorgeous!

Thanks all, she's such a cutie! She's the sweetest little thing, I cant believe she hasnt been handled by people before she is just the nicest little birdie.
