Pig?

Is it possible that my sun conure is just a pig, he seems to have started eating recently a lot more than normal. He's 7 months old now and looks a bit chunky. Other than put him on a treadmill what advice can anyone give.

Get yourself a gram scale. Sun's should be between 110 - 120gr. Pita's at 115g.

There are days when thats all Pita does, is eat, then there are days when he just picks.

What are you feeding him?

Besley & Bonnie my sun conures weigh around the 118grams my guys get feed cockatiel seed, vetafarm south american pellet mix, corn, snowpeas, broccli, carrots, cauliflower, bean s,soup mix which contains barley, peas & lentils, They also get baby spinage leaves occassionally as to much iron can be bad and spinage can cause the runs. In fruit apple, pear, cherries, blueberries, strawberries, orang e,manderine, mango, peaches & grapes. I also give all my birds mealworms once or twice a week, They also have a calcium perch and cuttlefish bone in there cage at all times. I give them treats like potato chips and fruit juice every so often.
