Question Odd Green Cheek Behavior

Hello,
I was wondering about some odd Green cheek behavior. I have a baby that is weaned and he/she lits on the bottom of cage and squeeks/talks to a red ball that is half its size. I was wondering what this all means?

Thanks~

Aw you bird is so cute...Maybe they ball is comforting to her/him. Im not sure. Very cute YS green cheek. I'm going to move this to the conure section. Maybe more people there might know.

hmmm - valo talks and babbles to about everything in the house (except for nino - he only tells him to "come here" and when the old man does, valo chases him off greencheeks)

currently he's sitting on his playgym, talking to his bell *shrug*

I used to have a budgie who would talk to his favourite bell, whisper secrets, even kiss it (with full motions and sound effects! "mmmmmwah!") He's probably just trying to make an extra friend, I wouldn't worry about a birdy shrink quite yet

Your bird is playing. Conures are notorious for playing at the bottoms of their cages. Mine used to roll around on her back and play with her ball with her feet. She would talk to it, scream at it pick it up with one foot bang it, toss it, chase it.... sometimes she would even fall asleep on her back at the bottom of her cage afterwards exhausted. Conures are clowns. Make sure she/he has lots of lose foot toys at the bottom of the cage to play with as well as plenty of toys to chew on.

i agree with kellywess. my gc has always played at the bottom of his cage. he use to love playing peek-a-boo when he was in the store i bought him from (use to work there) under the newspaper that was at the bottom of his cage. they are total clowns. mine will walk around his cage and murmur. the cutest thing is he'll go to the bottom of his cage, while murmuring, and will slowly bring his head up, then duck back down so i can't see him. so cute. <3
