New Conure! Nanday and a GCC

Hello everyone!

Very exciting, yesterday I brought home my first GCC. I have had a Nanday Conure since dec/07.

The new GCC is soo tame, I have been told he is 1.5 years old, but I am his 3rd owner I know of, and he is not banded. He will step up on command which is a bonus, and he lets me scratch him and even lift his wings out, very tame! His cage isnt to small, but not big either though, i'll be getting a new one soon. He was on a all seed diet, last night he tried 3 different kinds of pellets, apple, and a grape, he'll eat anything I offer so far :)

His cage is setup next to my Nandays, they both checked each others cages out by going on top of one anothers, both very curious of one another.

The Nanday is on my shoulder right now adn the GCC on my lap. Seems like they want to play with each other but the Nanday opens his beak like he might try to bite him. Its hard to tell, he does that before he steps up as well, so I'm not to sure...

What a wonderful thing! I recently acquired a 3-4 year old conure that I was told was 'a wild, parent-raised breeder that I need to get rid of now', who turns out to be a talkative, loving clown of a bird! Sometimes, older conures are wonderful. :)
