GCC's and SUN's

Ok... i was just wondering... if a greencheek and a sun would get along and if they did, would it be ok to put them in the same cage? also, if the sun was a female, what sex of a greencheek would she probably get along more with?
thanks

If the two did get along, I'd suggest same sex...

If they wont ever share the same cage, and you don't encourage breeding, then go for whatever sex you want, or whichever bird you choose, or the one that chooses you!

I have a green cheek and a sun conure I am not sure of either's sex but they love eachother. We let them out together and put them in the same cage some times to let them play. They have separate cages so we they are bonded to us instead of eachother. I think it depends on the birds if they will get along.

I've seen loads of photos of GCC's and suns sitting and playing happy together, but mine just didn't get on.
Poppy just wasn't interested in playing with or grooming Lily... and thats all Lily seemed to want to do with/to Poppy. Poppy would get quite snappy with Lily and made her scream most time they were out together. Poppy also got quite jealous if Lily came and sat on or with me... I don't know if that's typical GCC behaviour to be jealous or maybe it was because she was here before Lily.

I will say when it was just myself and Poppy she was the most loving little bird ever. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Deffo keep them in seperate cages and don't force anything... they'll go at their own speed. Just keep an eye on them whenever they are out together.

I have two Sun Conures and three Green Cheeks of both sexes and they all share a cage and they get along great and are so bonded with each other it will be trama seperating them, also a Nanday Conure and a Cockatiel are also in the same cage as well with no problems.

I'm a fan of keeping all my birds in seperate cages, they can play with each other as they please outside their cages with my supervision.(2 tiels in the same cage though)

My timneh and goffin get along with each other better than any of our other birds, except the 2 tiels that share a cage and are quite boned to each other.
