weird behavior

our new conure is acting strange today... it was very dark, very very windy and rainy all day and charlie would not come out of his cage at all and then my husband called at 5 and said he was under the papers in his cage ( he used to do this in his old home but hasnt done it with us) and acting like he wanted to go to bed. do you think the weather is affecting him. glenna

He could be insecure, if it's not playing then it could also be a nesting type behavior. Conures tend to like to hide in small dark places...
