Head Bobbing Behavior

My bird Lupe likes to bob her head and then does a chewing motion which I assume means she is regurgitating food for me because she loves me. That's cool and all, but here's what I don't understand - she bobs her head and does the chewing/regurgitation even when she is mad and biting a long. It's so weird because it seems like she is in a bad mood, she's really grumpy and biting me and then after she bites she regurgitates, and then bite again, and repeats.

Any idea what this behavior could mean? Is she mad or is she happy? I don't get it!

I don't think he is regurgitating to you. He is acknowledging that you are talking to him, and he may be saying "sure I hear you" and "chewing" to say it may bother him. Or he could be trying to talk -- don't know about this. I'd say give us a longer run on video to really tell.

Well in your case it seems that lupe is just mimicing your motions, at least in the video that seems the case.

With our goffins, We can't do the head bob to her, or she gets extremely playful, actually to the point when she raises up her crown flapping and screaming, then she's agressive if you get near her during this.

That is the only time she's agressive at all, can't figure out why, but as long as we don't do the head bob, she won't do that, so its something that can be delt with easily for us.
