Question Green Cheek Owners

I'm looking at getting a bird. I work with them everyday and have not had one since I was 11. I've heard alot of good things about Green Cheeks but have never seen a pet one. We have got them in the store but the only one that has stayed around long enough to really see it's personality is an evil little thing! It trys to attack you. We get in all sorts of birds, some as young as 4 weeks. We are getting in 2 Green cheeks in a few weeks. I'm trying to decide between one of them or an Alexandrian. It's SOOOOO hard to decide.

Green cheeks are great, I can't say much for alexandrian's because I don't own one, nor have I even seen one in person.
I'm sure either way you chose you'll love your choice.

I work in a pet store and would love to take my bird with me. Are they bad about biting strangers?

I think the biting strangers is all in how your bird is socialized. All but one of my birds would let anyone handle them. The one that won't is my Tag, and they are often a single person bird, like mine is.

I know one person that posts a lot on here that has an alexandrian, maybe she will post on her experiences.

AWWWW! They are so cute! The one we have at the store is so "mean" though! It was like he woke up one morning and decided he hated everyone and everything. lol

I have heard that when they reach 2 years old they go through a nippy stage but they get over it if you handle them...i am sporting a blood blister on my index finger from my alex when she bit me 2 weeks ago (although..i was trying to stick her in a harness..fair go). My little green cheek is fearless..she wont bite my alex but has no problem annoying her or...as you can see...stealing her "toy" (i buy all these toys and what do they play with...a straw )
