Help us break the tie - POLL

Sorry I meant to add this to the original thread, tried to go back and edit one in with no such luck.

Anyway, I am just trying to decide between a GCC and a sun, so anyone who wants to vote to help us break the tie, go right on ahead and tia!

Either would be an excellent choice, it all depends on the individual bird. You could also consider Nandays and Jandays and Quakers if they are legal in SD.

living with both, i can't answer this question - it depends on the living situation and the bird... both are loving and affectionate, and both have their quirks

i have a sun, but i voted gc cause there a great bird and i wouldnt recomend the loudnees of a sun for a first bird, to often they are rehomed right away because of this, in fact thats how i got mine, too noisy for the privious owner. i just love him. ive herd so many good things about both. im sure you'd be happy with a gc, they are clowns, and cuddly, as all conures can be, but i must agree with coments above, it depends on the bird (and the human).

I have both and love both dearly. I voted Sun because he (Ean) was my first and sweetest bird. My GCC (Shadow) is not cuddly but just loves to be with me and is a complete clown.

LoL...not much of a tie breaker was it? We went back to see the birdies again today and one of the GCCs was hanging from the ceiling of his cage by *one* foot, holding a little spray of millet in his other foot and eating it...but get this - he was NOT upside down as you would think he should be, hanging by one foot and all!!! That was the craziest looking thing I have ever seen a birdie do! My kids and I sat there for god knows how long just laughing and cooing to him about how talented and flexible he was. Afterwards and for the rest of the day that little GCC was brought up again and again so it's looking more and more like he might be our new baby.

Anybody ever heard of a "fancy" GCC??? They have a new baby in the store - still mostly baby feathers over his body so I don't know what color s/he will be but I saw a few red ones on his/her tummy. Also a little lovey bird but I have never heard of a "fancy" GCC...and I'm a little intimidated to bring such a little guy home. Are they even ready to be sold when they still have fluffy feathers on their tummies?

I have 4 Suns and 6 GCC's and I honestly could not recommend one over the other. Every one should own one of each. you could then disconnect you cable TV and never miss it.
