Identify this conure

Here are a few pics of some Goldcapped conures around 10 weeks old. Like others have said, it will be awhile before you truly know.


The smaller, younger one towards the back is my Nani 2 years ago.

I'm going to say Sun. The mask is especially dark, the yellow at the base of the lower back going into the tail, and the yellow speckling under the wing epaulets just say "Sun" or hybrid to me.

...is that birdie sandpaper on the floor? OUCHIES! :(

Can't say I've seen such a yellow gold capped conure before.... I'm used to seeing green birds, with a red stomach, and gold caps... not something that resembles a jenday!






Although I do realize that jendays have more yellow and less green than Nani!

Stimpy looks closest to a gold cap, what's the information you have on him? I.E. where did you get him?

If he is a hybrid it's hard to say exactly what he is without knowing his parents... and hybrids don't always look the same.... for example some dusky hybrids....
