Hi, new member with Patagonian Conure.

Hi everyone. I've just joined after getting a 4 year old Patagonian Conure. He's very tame and friendly, but screams like mad from time to time (as expected). He seems to have taken to me, after months of the last owner not going near him. I'd like to hear from anyone with the same kind of Conure. I'm particularly interested in his behaviour and what he may be trying to tell me sometimes. I'd also like to get the "diet" issue cleared up - he's a bit fussy.

Welcome to BB. I used to be owned by 2 Patagonian Conures they were both females.One passed away from a cage top collapsing on her and the second one was stolen.I fed them what I fed my other Conures sometimes a little seed,and they were given pellets as well as fruits,vegetables and nuts.Though they had such a different kind of pitch to their voice they were truly loved and are really missed.
