I use the solid construction moulded plastic wheels and the small birds love them, keets or lovies. Keep in mind for any toys, if there is a hazard to it, a bird will find the hazard, get caught in it or tangle in it.

Me too. I would worry about claws getting caught in the mesh or the cross bars breaking something. I am sure my conure would love it otherwise though. They should come out with a bird safe one.
