We're not playing god. if your talking about that myth about a creator. we are just interacting with fellow animals. its been going on long before humans were even here. species were wiping each other out millions of years ago.

id like to see some proof, that there was no hybridization involved in the evolution of homosapiens, and i didnt say that hybridization was the same as mutation. read carefully. no evidence just means they havent found any, not that it didnt happen.

nuking and poisoning were just examples that we dont have the last say. on selection, or the end of life, unless we completely blow the planet apart. we will burn up the habitats long before we have any affect on the gene pool of parrots.

Sorry to disappoint you, but that is not the way science works. You cannot "prove" something did not occur. Not to mention that it is equally impossible to "prove" anything at all, remember that gravity is still "just a theory".
There is evidence that no hybridization occurred between hominids and that has been tested with genetic and archaeological evidence.

you are controdicting yourself. 1st you say there is no evedence (page 2), then you say ther is evedence (page 3) i said "proof' on purpose because it is as rediculous as your assumtions about science. so do read YOUR writings more carefully, and if i have misunderstood you at all, it might just be that you are not writting clearly either. peace brother. these things just go on forever, and i promised my self i wouldnt get into this argument again, but sadly i did. i will comment no further on this subject. we all have our own beliefs and no one can change that. i wont change my mind about hybrids, grit, clipping, or many othrer things that are debated here.

Hello Everyone! The baby bird in that picture is mine. I believe it was posted without any permission...not mine anyway. He is the most adorable, loveable bird I have ever had the great fortune to meet and keep. Yes the breeder does intentionally breed these birds. I was one of the lucky people (passed all the screening) able to get one. Sounds to me that those of you that aren't happy with the cross breeding are jealous. At least I KNOW this wasn't the product of brother and sister, daughter and father etc...can all of you say that? I will let you know how he's doing and post a picture of him when he IS a one year old. Have a good day!

This guy is disgusting and has no class. He threw my entire argument out because I used the phrase "playing god" all of a sudden he's ranting about the MYTH of a CREATOR and using very rude smileys to try and make me look like an idiot. How mature. How classy.

Look, any idiot fluent in English knows that "playing God" is a very common phrase and in no way denotes crazy religious fundamentalism or creationism. But no, he ignores my entire argument and focuses on those two frigging words I posted: Playing God.

ROYJOY, smart boy, why don't you PROVE to me that captive-bred hybrids have anything to do with evolution or natural selection. They are nothing but a money grab. The concern is indeed, that these birds will become extinct, many of them in our lifetime. All we will have is our captives. Parrots mate for life, so why would a person intentionally breed X species to Y species to create hybrids? They are just GUESSING this mating would create an evolutionary advantage? What the heck is that?

FOR DARWIN? FOR SCIENCE? Seriously? No, it's just for money and for new color schemes and whether bird people admit it or not, it's for status symbols.

Me, I make it clear that what I post is my opinion. You do the opposite. You act as if what you post is undisputed fact. Um I actually agree. HE is the one who is degrading me for my opinions. It's disgusting. ANd I hate that I will inevitably be the one punished for this. Because I'm new.
