The colors of all the birds in that photo go so nicely together! Really nice photo.

If you don't know anything about the GC conure mutations then you'll be confused as to what the person is talking about (and I've occasionally seen this happen as well).

I know what you had meant, even though what you posted could be confusing for someone else, since there is the Sordid Conure (a.ka. Yellow Sided Conure) which is a subspecies of the Green Cheek Conure - thus in it's own right is still a green cheek.
"It's a colour mutation of the yellow-sided green cheek conure"

Regardless, some of the GC mutations are gorgeous!

As for the cherry heads... scientifically, they are called "Red Masked Parakeets". I usually use the term "cherry head" instead, because there's also a "Red Fronted Conure." Although sadly, many people mistake mitreds, waglers (aka Red Front), and finchs's conures for cherry heads or visa versa... All that however, is besides the point! You said you were raising some cherry heads/suns and I was curious as to what they looked like!
No prob, I figured it was something like that lol. I wasn't being snarly, hard to come across sometimes in text. I still get people saying "Conner" versus "Conyour" and mutter to myself, so I try to be clear. So, you just made it more clear! hehe I usually tend to post between hand-feeding babies, so I always appreciate someone deciphering my insane mutterings and reworking it to some measure of coherency! ;)

As for the hybrid? I'll snap a photo of them, but until then, they have the red-masked beak colour, the size of the red-masked, the same green body, but the reddish belly like the Jenday has (even though it's half sun). I know Sun's have the lower red, but these are reallly 'jenday red'. And, they have a rusty coloured mask that's very close around the beak and eyes. I'm very curious as to whether they will exhibit any red masking when they mature, but can't tell as yet. We're keeping one, so I'll post its picture as it matures. It'll be interesting!

I can tell you that of all my birds, they are most definitely the friendliest straight off, and smart as can be - even though they're still hand-feeding (at 2 feedings now). All the other birds I've hand-fed are bobbing maniacs or zero feeding response lol. These guys not only give just the right amount of response to eat, but keep the syringe in their beaks AND.. even at about 3 weeks old, they knew to move the tongue and do the head-tilt. lol Smart cookies. They aren't loud like suns, but have the same vocalising that the red-masked does. Actually... they kinda sound like hahn's macaws in that kermit-the-froggie murmuring that they do lol.

I'm really infatuated with these babies lol. I've always loved the mitreds and red-masked being a San Francisco girl. I used to wish one of the wild conures would land on me so I could take it home. Unfortunately, I ended up with all these other conures and never did get my red-masked, not that I'm complaining LOL.
