Throwing Up? ERGENT!

Okay recentely my Sun Conure has thrown up. Can someone please help me! The vets are all closed today and the only one that works is only a few miles away, but I am waiting for my car.

While I wait for the car 10-15 min cansome one tell me why she is doing this? She is also very quite. I have been giving her the same food i have been giving her for the past 3-4 months.

She start to Bob her head and a few seconds she starts to throw up. Although this happened once only. How can I prevent this?

I would guess it is not a problem. Maybe she is wanting to feed you. They feed their babies this way.

Makes no difference if she has babies. Hmmm... Orange juice.... I feed my conure oranges so that should not be it. Is she still doing it?

It really doesn't matter if she has babies. Birds regurgitate for the ones they love. Its basically a birds' way of showing affection. Unless it was throwing up with no head bobbing and the bird is acting funny, she was probably just telling you she loved you. Sarge, my military, does this for every female that walks into the room. He is constantly head bobbing and puking. It doesn't hurt them, as long as they're still eating and drinking normally. Because Sarge's regurgitation is constant, the vet said that we just need to ignore him when he does it, so he doesn't associate it with attention. Chief only does it every so often, but when you tell her no, she stops. I think your sun will be fine...just don't stop feeding her!

That was my thought. They all do it. Some more than others. My conure has only done it once. And the tiels have not done it at all. I have not gotten a reply from my last post so not sure if they may be on the way to the vet or not.

Okay well I went to the Vet today and found out that she is Ill. The Vet has given me Baby some Special Yogurt, and Antibiotics. In addition she gave her some shots, and took a crop test, poop test...etc

She determined that it could be a led poisoning as we should her some of the toys, and other stuff she was biting. She said it snot throwing up but rather regurgitation. Now some symptoms is that she is tired, dehydrated, closing her eyes, Puffy, and regurgitation.

Now she explained things to me, but it seems that the bird might have to take a Blood test which is very expensive if its not Led Poisoning or something that the Antibiotic can cure, or the Yogurt. Now my deciion isn't finaly but if it very expensive where I cant pay for it I want to give my bird to someone, or somewhere where they can treat her. Can someone recommend any place?

You're going to give your sick bird away if she needs further tests?

Did I read it wrong or confuse your wording?
