Question Neat freak Sun conure????....

I was wondering if anyone else has a sun that is a complete neat freak?

Our baby Spirit (he's just over a year old) has this little cuddle nest thing hanging in the corner of his cage. At first he was afraid of it and wouldn't go near it, but now, he does the most peculiar thing (peculiar because I had been hearing how messy they can be)
He disposes of his "garbage" in there..lmao..
Empty peanut shells mostly or possibly stuff that he might be saving for later...it just cracks me up! I've never caught him doing it, but every morning there are more shells in there.
Also, he won't allow a cover to be put over his cage. Hubby and I tried to cover him at night when we first got him, but every morning it would be on the floor again...so we figured he likes to be able to see what's going on.

Any "weird" little things that your birds do that don't fit the "normal" sun profile???

No, mine are pretty messy and don't worry about picking up after themselves. I envy your bird's neurosis!!!

Thanx for responding...yeah I figured he wasn't quite "normal"..lol

OHHH he's so CUTE though even when he's being naughty. A couple months ago he was sitting on my shoulder as I was drinking a glass of water. He decided that he wanted a drink too, so I let him perch on the glass. He took a sip, then decided that he would rather take a bath in it. So as I'm being drenched, HE LAUGHS AT ME!!!
I couldn't help but crack up laughing too..lol
my husband came into the room to see what the commotion was about, and at the sight of his lovely wife and beautiful bird, both looking like wet cats, he doubled over laughing at both of us (which made Spirit laugh even more of course)
I can't imagine life w/o our funny little bird!

That's how they get us. Even when they're bad they know we find them irresistible.
