Warning of danger?

I just had my little Sun out and she was running back and forth across my chest rapidly, biting at my fingers and clamping down hard on my ear. Then she went still and was staring at the ceiling. I followed her line of sight and noticed a not too pleasant looking spider on the ceiling.

I managed to kill it and got rid of the kleenex. All of a sudden after that when I let her out again, she was cuddy again and when she nibbled on my ear, it did not hurt at all.

So was she trying to warn me of danger?

In the wild, birds will bite at thier mates or flock mates to scare them away if they sense danger. So I would say she was trying to warn you and possibly make you get out of the line of danger. Smart girl.

I HATE spiders! Especially when they are on the ceiling. Because it never fails that they decide to come down on a web right in your face. Good thing she warned you.

Some of my boys do this with bugs ...but they're not warning me off, they're telling me to lift them up higher so they can snatch it. lol One of my baby pineapple gcc's actually snatched a moth out of the air. He was so proud. ...then he was really mad, because I had to pull it out of his mouth. lol It's not that I mind him catching his own protein ...but I don't know where that moth's been! ;)
