I have 6 miniature pinschers and three parrots. At one point I had a cat as well.

Although, I'd not ever recommend it, surely it can be done and without error. Thus far, I've not had any issues but it's important to remember that accidents can happen so quickly.

I have 3 pugs and a parrotlet. My dogs wouldn't purposely hurt the bird however in the excitement of Petie being on the ground and accessible they could easily step on him and potentially kill him. I'm not willing to put anyone through that so when Petie has out time the dogs are in another room. They are still with other family members so it is not the end of the world. Also because Petie is so small, he doesn't get unsupervised out time regardless of the dogs.

I have two dogs, a poodle and a pekingese, and have never had an ounce of trouble with our toos or our gcc. My gcc will sit on their backs and they just chill... they don't seem to care. The peke will try to "play" with them by grumbling at them but they are never agressive towards one another.

We also have three cats, all trained to leave the birds alone, and if that's not enough, the birds aren't afraid to show them who is boss!
