I think GIgi is going to lay an egg ? Help!!!
I have a Jenday and Sun. I noticed that GiGi is pushing the wood chips in the bottom of the cage around . also pitching them every where except where they were. AS if she is building a nest. Is it possible that she would lay eggs in the bottom of the cage? I also have 3 cockateil and know what they do . But these Conures are baffleing me. Can someone give me some advice? Thanks Crich

If the jenday and sun conures are male/female then I would not encourage them to be breeding in the first place as this is creating hybrids.
Birds can and do lay eggs on the bottom of the cage. Just because they are creating a nest doesn't necessarily mean that they will lay eggs, however. I would suggest to discourage this behavior by not allowing them access to the bottom of the cage, changing the cage around, maybe moving the cage to a new location, and increasing the amount of sleeping time they get.
