Smile Zeus is out of quarantine

Well Zoe and Zeus are hitting it off great! She stepped right into the Mommy role. She is constantly preening him or squawking at him for something. She is even nice enough to share her food. They are practically joined at the wing. I am so glad we made the decision to get her a friend. They get along great for the most part. Sometimes there is a little feather ruffling over a toy or the food dish but as you will see form the pictures. It must be LOVE .

How adorable!! Are they still bonded to you also? Sometimes when they get a friend they want nothing to do with the humans, so I was told.

We have 2 bonded conures and 2 bonded tiels. But all 4 birds are still very bonded to us and beg for our attention. The tiels share a cage, the conures have separate cages (right next to each other) and share play areas. It's important when you have bonded birds to make lots of time to spend with them individually, so they still have interest in you. Of course - there's always a risk they'll bond so strongly to each other that they'll exclude you. So far, we haven't had a problem though.

Aww! Love at first sight! The 3rd picture down is amazing, I can't tell where one bird stops and the other starts.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I have been able to get great pictures of them. I wish I could share them all but I would probably get banned from the site . As far as them still being bonded with the humans in the house....they cant get enough of us. My husband looks adorable walking around with one on each shoulder or both on top of his head . They love to snuggle and be wherever we are just as much as they love spending there time together. Even Zazu is interested in the new addition. He has been spending a lot of his time watching the two of them. Sometimes he looks like he wants to join the play time and others like he wishes they would disappear LOL. I am just glad that they get along and have found a friend in each other.
