scream question

My sun Pumpkin is 10 months old. She's actually rather quiet except when she welcomes me home from work. At what age to they get their "big" screams?

Thanks, Jeannie

I was going to say between 6-9 months they get their adult screams. Most of the time my sun is good too, but there are a few now and then that are wailers!

REALLY! I guess I am lucky. I didn't get a sun for along time after I heard one scream at the pet store. I saw Pumpkin for adoption on Craig’s list. It was love at first sight. I knew that was my bird. We bonded quickly and she has been a pure joy.

Here's a photo of her sitting on the finches cage. You can see my baby finches that haven't colored yet. The finches aren't bothered by Pumpkin at all. She's such a gentle bird maybe they sense that.

my sun is a little over 4 months old and she's so quiet! i was nervous getting her becuase i've heard of how loud suns can be but she isn't at all, i love her. actually, if you can believe it, my gcc is way louder than her and he's about 7 months.

Hey Jeannie and Pumpkin,

She is beautiful! A huge congratulations to the two of you! Our "Little" Conure is way louder than our "Big" one. LOL

And, Barb (Darwin the Sun) is absolutely right when she says 6 - 9 months. I was being cheeky about suns and their notorious lungs.

All the best! Isn't it amazing the gems that can be found on Craig's List!

bella is actually pretty quiet too for a sun, but the welcome-screetch sure demonstrates her "sun abilities"... you might really have been lucky

maybe it's a girl thing?
