Question Bird Diapers?

Hello all,
I have a 1yr old green cheek who's still pooping all around the apartment. We've tried training him to poop only on his perch or cage, tried to positively reinforce pooping in "good" spots, negatively reinforce "bad" ones, and he hasn't learned.
We have him out almost all day on the weekends and still enjoy him very much but wish there was less poop on the carpet.
Has anyone tried Flight Suits or another type of bird diaper? Any suggestions for us?
Thanks! And if someone tells me how to upload pictures, I'll put a few up.

I have a flight suit that I used last summer and fall for going out.... unfortunately I didn't keep up "putting it on" and now there is way too much blood, sweat and tears for me to keep trying. All mine by the way LOL. It was great while it lasted.

We now have Wawa trained to poop in a designated area in the house, so we are lucky. We have a suction cup perch in the bathtub. We just take him there every 10 to 20 minutes and he goes there. We started by taking him in, and playing the waiting game.... long waits over and over, till it would be just his time to poop... Then we would yell yeah Wawa, and make a bid deal and pick him up for love and scritches. Now he will try his hardest to poop every time even if it is teeny weeny, just for the fanfare. LOL

I use the flight suit on my green cheek. It took about three weeks to get her to let me put it on. Best thing I ever did! I got a leash to go with it so she can go outside and in the car. With my bird I have to change the diaper every 3-4 hours. You can buy the little pads at walmart for $2.

Negative reinforcement doesn't work well with a lot of birds, most especially GCCs who believe that as long as they get your undivided attention, that's good enough for them.

I can't even begin to tell you how to poop train your Conure! I surrendered to the inevitable long ago and just put in hardwood floors everywhere. Now I just invest in Poop-Off and a steam cleaner (for the tile). hehe
