I just came back from our little Ma & Pop pet store & they had a Black Forest Conure. Though I cannot find anything on them ... is there such a thing?
It was the size of a green cheek, but darker shades of green, no red or blue & the tail was shorter. Also the white around the eyes wasn't as bright white. It was gorgeous.

A Black Forest Conure is a hybrid between a Green Cheek and a Black Capped.

you mean except? Google "conure diet"... there are a ton of pages on this subject. First one that came up has great info... http://www.avianweb.com/conurefood.htm It is imperative that they have a well balanced diet which includes much, much more than just bird food.

CRToon83, a cinnamon green cheek conure *IS* the same species as a normal green cheek conure. There are hundreds of mutation budgies, but they are all still budgies. Same goes for cockatiels, lovebirds, and other species which have not hybridized. If you were to breed two normal green cheeks together and get some cinnamon offspring, then the father is split cinnamon - that is, he carries the gene for cinnamon daughters. Just because an animal is a different coloration than it's parents does not make it a subspecies. There's a lot more than that when it comes to differentiating between species and subspecies, usually.
