Just weaned green cheek?
Hi! I am going to get a green cheek. I could get him this weekend if I want- he has just been weaned. The breeder told me I could finish him up- what does that entail? I have never handfed before but my neighbor has quite a lot and could help me. Will I need to hand feed him at all- or just keep an eye on him to make sure he is eating and weigh him?

Ordinarily I would say do not attempt to handfeed yourself if you don't know how, but if your friend has offered to show you how I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to learn! I don't know what it means but I'm guessing it means you will have to handfeed.

I would wait until the bird is fully weaned. You must monitor it carefully if you are weaning it yourself. Green cheeks are wonderful, good choice!
