The fids eat better than we do!!

We usually buy a bag of dried, mixed fruit from Petsmart for the rowdy bunch. However, there are ALWAYS a bunch of raisins in the bags. NONE of these birds like raisins. They all will eat grapes, but not raisins (I can't really blame them ).

Yesterday, I went to the local Whole Foods, because I heard they have dried fruit in their bulk foods department. Boy, did they! I picked up some papaya, pineapple, apple, sliced almonds, banana, & a pea/corn/pepper mix. I only got a small amount of each; the prices were great. Everything that I bought was organic, non-sweetend or salted. The only thing I had to do was cut the fruit into smaller bites. Got a large bowl of the mix out of the deal! Hopefully they will eat it (if not, I'll give it to the kids, lol).

So, yeah....maybe a little spoiled....

ha ha! I remember when I got Moki in December, I paid a fortune for some grapes because that was one thing that he really loved. I don't do that any more. Can't afford it.

Are grapes OK? I recently learned NOT to feed them to dogs (whodathunk).

You are right grapes are toxic to dogs, BUT they are okay for parrots. Thankfully most dogs do not like grapes!

They are bad for dogs. But ok for birds without the seeds. I just made Abbey her oatmeal for today. I make it with plain oatmeal with apple juice an cinnamon. I hope she likes it.

Thumbs up

Well, my fruit/veggie mix seems to be a hit. Here's a shocker, though,
everyone's favorite: dried peas. All 4 birds love them! Even the little princess!

Who woulda thunk!?!?
