I think I just burned out my retinas with that pic of dad.

Will this baby be trained to accept the sock drawer?

Re: dad... blinding is right. Remember, the sock drawer is only for disciplining a rogue bird.

Only Xaf gets the drawer ...well, maybe Zoe too. She's a moose though, need a bigger dang drawer.

My sun conure was incubated and hand reared from day 1 as parents wouldn't sit on the eggs.

I had no idea they're born this tiny! I used to leave my canaries with their parents a while because they're extremely tiny. For some reason I thought the sun babies would be a little bigger!

Wow.. such an ugly little bugger... so ugly it's cute in some weird way! lol!

My green cheek was hand fed from day one because the parents wouldn't feed her... but it wasn't just her... this was the second clutch the parents laid and they wouldn't feed any of them. Needless to say the parents went up for sale after Amira's clutch, lol.

My thought as well, but I tend to stay away from anything neonatal in general (perhaps it's a man thing?). It's hard to believe they grow into those beautiful flamboyant birds, isn't it?

The eyes begin to open around 14-16 days.
