Anyone have this cage?

So, I am cage-shopping and I want to get a large cage but with adequate bar spacing and a play-top.

I like this one, but wanted to know if anyone has this for their Sun Conure, and if it is a good cage.

Little bit small. HQ is a good company though. I have the basic flight cage and it is made very well.

That was what I thought, but when I looked at the larger one, I was afraid the bar spacing was too much.

See:

HQ Play Top Large Bird Cage Features:
- Dimensions: 73'' height, by 40'' length, by 30'' depth
- Inside Height: 48''
- Weight: 170 lbs
- Bar Thickness:1/5''
- Bar Spacing: 1.22''

I have that cage. It is small. Have you looked at the flight cages? They are a nice size and the right bar spacing. I think a lot of people wish there was a 40x30 cage with smaller bar spacing.

I have a cage that looks just like that, same size and everything, just a different brand. An I think it has enough room in it, just depends on how long your bird is in it a day. Rocky is out of his cage a lot, so his is perfect for him. If your bird is going to to be in it for long periods of time, I would get a a bigger one. I still want Rocky to have a bigger cage, so I will be buying one of the HQ cages with me tax check. Always go with the biggest you can buy. I think the bar spacing would be ok, from what I can tell.

Rockysmom, he's referring to a larger HQ cage that has 1.22" bar spacing. That is way too big.

Hi.. I would love everyone's help myself.. I was first going to get the HQ Flight Cage myself for my 2 conure's..thinking lots of room for toys etc.. but was told to get a cage that the bars aren't going up and down on all 4 sides.. so I decided to go with a cage very similar to the one in the picture you have Parrotbay .. but would really like everyone else's input on this. I haven't purchased anything yet.. Any help to decide would be greatly appreciated.

that may be true for smaller birds, but with conures they can easily climb up the bars in the cages. The crossbars aren't but about 5-6 inches apart, so they can get up very easily. Could a parakeet? Probably not.

YAY! I like this one a lot! Looks like it has a lot of room too! I am hoping to be able to keep my Conure out most of the day (I am fortunate to work from home), but this would make me feel a lot better that he/she will have the room when I'm away and he/she is caged!!!!
