How do you do that sock drawer technique again? Amira has been screaming at the top of her lungs incessantly for the past hour. I'm soooo ready to try it out. I'd think she'd be tired by now! lol... and the odd part is she's had a lot more interaction with me today than usual.

try taking a shower with her. When Abbey does that in the afternoons, I take a shower. It calms her down.

lol Abbey doesn't like to go under the water. She like to on my head or hand and the water splashes her. She is very picky. She scratches her face when it hits her face..lol What about a special treat? Abbey loves cheese

Both Boo and Alita dislike the shower. I think they think it's evil-incarnate, and no amount of singing in the shower or over-exaggerating my enjoyment of it seems to change their minds. Boo will take a random "bath" in his open water dish, which I've begun putting back into his cage. I might switch back and forth so he doesn't forget how to drink from a water bottle, though...

I'm still looking for a more agreeable solution for Alita.

I have the dish in her cage for baths... I put fresh water in it every morning and she submerges herself in it and flaps around and sometimes dunks her pellets in it.. but drinks almost all the time out of her bottle. But she won't get in any larger of a dish (i.e. a pie pan or something). Only her small dish.

And also, I don't want to give her any cheese or any sort of a treat - even acknowledging her - when she's pitching a fit. If I did that, she'd win, and would eventually do it even more.

Do this..

Get organic peanutbutter or almond butter.. coat back of spoon. Roll in a crushed nutriberry. Give to Amira. Sit back and laugh.

Are you joking or being serious. I'm honestly not sure at this point.

Well both, kinda.. I wouldn't reward her with a treat, but it does shut them up for a good while because they mouth the peanut butter forever.

Honestly, though... Have you tried to sing with her quietly if she's screaming in your presence? That works with my guys. Then, when I leave the room, I'll answer them and if they continue, I'll sing a bit and they stop.
