just bad days?
Anybody's bird ever just have a bad day? Where they don't want anything to do with you? Every time I go over to her cage she doesn't want to step up or have anything to do with me. But she's sitting there right now playing with her toys. Seems happy, been contently chirping softly. Maybe she's PMSing? lol... she has been molting also so that may be it.

Oh, man. Cookie is the QUEEN of bad days.
Some days she's all loveydovey, wants cuddles, attention, and then a couple days a week she doesn't want anything to do with me. Those days she'll watch me and sit in the room with me, but if i come close to her? Off she goes! i have to respect that she doesn't want me those days, but boy it can be frustrating!

I'd blame the molting. With Kiwi finishing up his first molt, he's had some seriously bad days. For the most part though, he likes being out of his cage, even if he's not on me 24/7

Yeah, i've had her cage door open all day and she's been in and out and enjoying herself, so I just am going with it. I don't feel good anyway so i'm not complaining.

Oh yeah, birds have bad days just like we do. Molting makes bad days into horrible days for them and us if we bother them.

Everyone here is molting... and it's miserable for the most part! Even Rico has been nippy... and he's not normally like that!

Same here, Guy is starting to go through his first molt and he has been acting very stand-offish today...he is just preferring to be in his cage which is very weird...normally he wants to be on me all the time.

Pepper is just through a molt, but I think he's hitting maturity. Some days he will not step up and come out of his cage. Sometimes he doesn't like my shirt, other days he just doesn't like my hair, who knows. Sometimes I can go back and try again and he will come out.
If I push it, he goes into full force attack mode. Funny little guy, all puffed up and po'd....
