Head bobbing

Abbey will usually bob her head when she does her LA LA LA LA. But I found out the other day that if I raise an lower my arm she will do it. It is really funny to watch. I am not sure how she learned it. Does you conure bob its head to your hand? She isn't on the hand that is moving. I will have to get a video

Yes. Kiwi does that too. I would love to see a video of another conure doing it though.

I just got Mango to bob his head for me yesterday. I was in the kitchen doing the dishes and he was on the counter on his perch. I was playing music so I started dancing, and I picked him up and he started bobbing his head. He did it later for DH too. So cute!!

If I sit back and visualize it, I'm not sure who looks funnier! LOL

Haha, that's true Holly. I was trying to get Mango to turn around yesterday and I am pretty sure if anyone looked in my window they'd think I was insane. The things our parrots make us do, lol.

All my friends swear that Kiwi is a very spoiled bird. But I know that he deserves it. Every bird deserves to make their owners a little crazy, if they didn't already start that way. I didn't think about the visual much, but now that someone mentioned it, we must look nuts!

I have two Suns. Jose, the male, will bob his head and click his tongue when we clap or make clicking noises. Today he was on my shoulder when I was chopping celery and he was bobbing his head to the sound of the knife on the cutting board.

Rosie, the female, will mimic me when I sway (like I am dizzy) and she is on her perch. Oh my goodness, is she funny! She looks like she is being hypnotized. They have us in stitches sometimes!
