For small conures - 1/2" to 5/8" spacing
For large conures - 5/8" to 3/4" spacing Source Different species of conures can vary a great deal in size. Very small conures may only be 60 grams, while others are larger than mini macaws and can weigh over 240 grams. What kind of conure are we talking about?

If that bar spacing is OK than that is an awesome cage but I agree it looks a little too large. I recommend an HQ flight cage. It is large enough for a conure with plenty of play room and the bar spacing is safe.
