I got mad skillz. I'm an artist by avocation and I used to do a ton of webdesign in the past as a hobby/part time job.

I am not sure why but I have a problem with that site. I just don't like the fact that they are covering the bird all the way around. I guess it is because Abbey is out all day an even if she is making tons of noise I don't cover her. She gets time outs but that is it. To me it would be like locking a kid in the closest when it is being bad. Plus that cage is tiny and it barely has any toys.

I know Carbon lets her bird see out the window. It has some light and gets to watch people.

That's part of why I spent time making the website with better instructions on how to sound proof your room for your bird (you can see it in my signature). I hope they don't have their cage set up like that all the time and that they only use it as a cover when she goes to sleep or when she's screaming, just for a few minutes. It's horrible. I got short breath just looking at it.

Not at all.

It absorbs sound waves in the air and vibrations through the walls

Yeah, basically my set up simply places a sound separator between the cage and the part of the room behind it. Instead of the whole cage being covered, the walls are what gets covered from that side in order to keep it exposed. The window is completely visible in the cage. Also, the cage only gets rotated when I'm not around or when I have visitors, or when I need Nara to go to bed early.

I think I'm going to email them about that particular review. I'm glad that it bothers others as much as it bothered me.

So I emailed them and explained to them why the set up that Xmemory referenced is cruel to the Cockatoo and why it's better to have a set up like mine. They said that they didn't know much about bird keeping and were just going with what that owner sent them. They promised to fix it right away. I suppose not many people have explored the sound proofing option specifically for birds yet, so they don't have much experience in that area. They said that, in the future, they'll use my page as a guide.
